CLASSROOM PRACTICE
Classroom practice has seen the greatest growth over the three year alliance with the Coalition.
Year 1: Teachers are learning about the Coalition and the practices of the Coalition.
Year 2: Through weekly professional development staff learns about the practices of the Coalition and the use of protocols. Teachers work together in teams to create lesson plans that include protocols and exploratory learning.
Year 3: This year provides an increase in the use of technology
and authentic lessons. There is a focus on the use of protocols, and
higher order questions and the development of the essential question.
Teachers are more reflective of their practice and work collaboratively
across grade levels to meet the varied needs of students.
