VITAMINS FOR HAITI

• Our amazing Kindergarten students have been hard at work collecting vitamins for Haiti!  The Kindergarteners became aware that there are many very hungry children in Haiti.  In order to help them we decided to collect Vitamins.  We have set our goal at 100.   As of Friday Feb. 5th we have collected 45 bottles.  The students are counting,  and graphing how many bottles we have collected with graphs that they made and hung all around the school.    We are collecting vitamins until Friday Feb 12th.

• In addition to the hard work of our Kindergarten students, all of the students at Paramount were given the opportunity to donate Panther Paws to purchase vitamins for Haiti.  Each Panther Paw was the equivalent of 1 vitamin.   Our thoughtful and caring students donated over 10,000 vitamins (25 bottles)!

THE PARAMOUNT SGA

• We are excited to announce that Paramount Elementary School now has a Student Government Association!  In January, students in each homeroom voted on a class representative who will attend meetings once a month and help to get the SGA up and running.  These representatives will assist in writing the SGA constitution and coming up with some new ideas to help improve our school.  Our first meeting is in February.

STUDY ISLAND

• Thanks to Ms. Myers hard work, Study Island is up and running!  Visit study island from home to practice all the math and reading skills you have been working on through out the year.  Every student in grades 3-5 who meet Mrs. Wolford's goals will enjoy at day at Yogi Bear Camp Ground!

3rd Grade Goal: 400 questions answered (200 math and 200 reading) with a a total score of 80% or higher.

4th Grade Goal: 500 questions answered (250 math and 250 reading) with a a total score of 80% or higher.

5th Grade Goal: 600 questions answered (300 math and 300 reading) with a a total score of 80% or higher.
