Campbell's Labels
The Campbell's soup labels you have diligently collected have made
a difference. So far our first items have been puchased. They
include: 2 volleyballs, 4 soccer balls, 6 playground balls, a science fair
project book, and an aerobics CD. New we have a goal of 4,900 points
to find the following science items: a weather kit, a cross-section
of the Earth, a How Things Work Kit, a Sky Science Kit, and a Human Body Kit.
Congratulations to everyone for collecting the labels needed for these
many important items and for continuing to collect the labels so that we
can meet our next goal.
Box Tops
Don't forget to send in those box tops. The
school should be receiving a check for $1080.10 soon from the last submitted
amount!. This check will go towards books, supplies for the students
and field trips. The next batch of box tops will be submitted this month.
We will keep you updated on that amount and as to what it will be spent
on. Thanks to all the parents that take the time to save them

A Message from Mr. Stark
We would like to welcome to Sharpsburg Elementary Christa Phillips, our
new pre-kindergarten teacher and Linda Silver, our new guidance counselor.
Science Night at Sharpsburg
On Feb. 17th, the PTO will sponsor a "Hands on" Science night at the school
from 6:30-8:00. this night will focus on making Science fun and interesting
for our kids. We are showcasing fun, hands on science experiments like
slime, and real working volcanoes made with items from your kitchen! This
night should be loads of fun for kids of all ages. There is no
charge for this night. We would just like to have all the
students come and enjoy a voyage into the world of science made fun! Of
course we can slways use volunteers who would like to come and just help
out with the small experiments. It should be easy and fun.
Art Club News:
Thanks to all the volunteers that made Art Club a success. The students
really enjoyed it. We are looking forward to having art club next year.
Any supplies sent in that were not used, will be saved for next year's
club.
