What is PBIS?
PBIS is a schoolwide systems approach for establishing the social culture and behavioral supports needed for schools to be effective learning environments for all students. We teach students what is expected in all areas of the school and acknowledge them for displaying these behaviors.Respect, Responsibility, and Resolution
Students can earn Cougar Cash for demonstrating these behaviors and can earn from any staff member (teachers, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, etc...) There are a variety of activities and incentives the students can spend their cougars on.
Cougar Spending Menu:Classroom:
pencil – 1 cougar
eraser – 1 cougar
notebook paper – 1 cougar
mints/candy – 1 cougar
homework pass – 5 cougars (at the discretion of the teacher; some restrictions apply; maximum 1 per month per teacher)Special Activities:
Lunch reservation in a particular place (classroom, lab, library, counseling center) with a particular teacher - 5 cougars
Lunch reservation with friends (5 cougars per person)
Participation in designated Marking Period Activities:
MP1 – 25 cougars - Oct. 3 (raindate-Oct. 6), Field Day events
MP2 – 30 cougars - Nov. 24 (8th grade), Nov 25 (7th grade), Nov 26 (6th grade), to the movies
MP3 – 35 cougars - Jan. 16, Rotation activity
MP4 – 35 cougars - March 6, Grade level choice
MP5 – (drawing) - April 24, Large Prize drawing
MP6 – 40 cougars - TBA, Year End CelebrationSchool Store:
General Supplies - 1 cougar = $0.10
Examples of Larger Items:
Disposable camera – 50 cougars
Basketballs – 30 cougars
Footballs – 25 cougars
Hair and bath accessories – 50 cougars
Locker Mirrors – 20 cougars
Finger Skateboards – 30 cougars

Mar. 27: Skating passes
April 24: Book Fair gift certificates
May 29: Tony’s Pizza gift certificates
Again this year we will be collecting
Box Tops for Education to support
PBIS. They can be found on General
