“All of the great leaders in history are comprised of some or all of the following attributes; an ability to listen, a take charge attitude, an ability to reach consensus, an ability to earn the trust of others, and an ability to follow tasks to completion. These skills are on display at the Fairview Outdoor Center. The leadership training program enlists these skills so that the participants can learn about themselves, their counterparts and their own ability to lead. As a new manager to a staff of 200 employees, this training was essential to my understanding of the skills of my supervisors. It provided me the opportunity to see them in action in a fun out of the box environment, while allowing them to gain a glimpse of my leadership style. It is my belief, that you can never stop learning about your own skills and abilities.
